| Twilight: Why the hell is this so popular? The movie was terrible, and the actors weren't much better. And it's everywhere! It's like Hannah Montana. Everywhere I look, it's something Twilight. And those kids who get their panties in a bunch whenever someone says they hated it. You need to get over yourselves and stop acting like that. You look like a damn fool. Vampires are overrated.
Miley Cyrus: I'm going to burn at the stake for this one. Miley Cyrus makes me want to harm people. I get that she's a good singer, and an okay actress. But why are people so obsessed with her? And not even the normal obsessed, but like, the unhealthy obsessed. Obsessed to the point you start to worry about them. I've defended her once before, but she truly gets on my last nerve. These children act as if she's the next best thing since Blue's Clues. She's not that amazing, get it through your heads.
Obama: In my opinion, the only reason that half of these United States even voted for him, was the fact that he was black. And he wasn't a Republican. But mainly because he was black. All the black people voted for him because they wanted to see a "brother" in the White House. And I am black,so I'm not being racist towards black people. And a lot of voters were first-timers, meaning they were 18-19 years old. Who do you think they're going to vote fore? A guy who's got years of experience, but is on the older side, or a "cool" black guy promising "change?" I'm not one to judge someone on politics, since I know next to nothing about them, but he doesn't seem to know what he's doing. And all these "plans" he has for our country are ludicrous.
Reality Tv: Really? This is what we've lowered ourselves to? Watching rich people live their lives on television instead of living our own? And people wonder why they never get anywhere. Over half these shows are scripted, and they're basically about nothing! Oh yeah, let's watch these over 40 somethings duke it out over some stupid floral arrangement gone wrong. Or some crazy celebrity family and all their problems. At least they make you feel better about yourself. And that's all that matters, right?
Saggy Pants: Every guy that wears these should be punched in the face. Pull up your damn pants, nobody wants to see your freaking underwear. And grabbing the crotch of your pants doesn't make you look like a gangster, it makes you look like you have to pee. Stop it.
| It's one of the most common questions people are, for good reason, afraid to ask. They're afraid because it raises a million questions, and it causes tension between people. People get offended, and people get pissed off. It's the same with politics, although I have to clue why, they're not that interesting. People also get this way with gay marriage. But back to God. I personally don't believe in God. Although at times I guess you could label me agnostic. I guess it all depends. Now, I have no problem with you believing in God, you do your thing, it's not my place to judge. But when uneducated, ignorance-is-bliss bible thumpers try to "save me", it really tends to piss me off. Who the hell are you to tell me what to believe in? In case you haven't noticed, many of these people just so happen to be Christian. They tell me that opening my life up to God is the only way I will ever truly be happy, not to mention it'll totally earn me a golden ticket into heaven. Now I don't know about you guys, but I would rather not waste my entire life worshiping some sky man who may or may not exist. So the alternative is me spending eternity in hell. Somehow, that doesn't really bother me. If God won't accept me into heaven because I chose not to devote my entire life to something I'm not even sure is real, then maybe heaven isn't the place for me. I'd rather not live forever in a place with such a judgmental God.
And then there are the ones who think it's their god given right to judge others based on their beliefs and lifestyles. Those are the ones who make me want to light something on fire. Again, who the hell are you to judge someone else? Frankly, whatever the hell someone else does with their life is none of your damn business, and you need to stop being so god damn nosy, because I'm pretty sure that's not your job. Your job is to live your life, not someone else's. If you spend your time using the Bible to try and convince people their going to hell unless they change their ways, then you need to get a life, because you're pretty pathetic. I'm also pretty sure God didn't call you up on the phone last night and tell you to go around bitching at people to change their religion or lifestyle because "the Bible says so." If he did, I would love his number, because I've got some things I'd like to say to him. You don't know who wrote the Bible, and your pastor doesn't know who wrote it. Your preacher doesn't know, and your youth leader doesn't know who wrote it. I'm pretty sure the people that go around giving out free Bibles don't even know who the hell wrote it. So you can't tell people what to do with their life just because "it says so in the Bible."
I would love to light a Bible on fire. I know that would offend a lot of people, but I'm sure half of those people have used the Bible one time or another to try and change someone or push something on someone. The Bible, in my opinion, is a load of bull crap, and it belongs in front of a door to be used as a door step, not on a shelf. And before you ask me, no, I have not read the whole Bible. Whoever spends their time reading that thing is a lunatic, because that's just to long. I've read about 10 pages before I got bored and left it somewhere. But I have read Bible verses and a few passages, although I couldn't tell you which ones because I haven't picked up a Bible since the last time I went to church for Christmas about 5 years ago. But there's no way anyone could get me to read it. It only contradicts its self a million and one times, not to mention none of those things could be proven to be true. Why would I spend so much time reading a book full of lies?
If in the end, God is real, and heaven is real, then I guess I'm screwed. But until then, I'll live my life the way it is right now. I have a roof over my head, and food on the table. I'm getting an education, and I'm not dead yet. So I tihnk I'm doing pretty good, I don't need God.
| I was watching The Doctors today, and at the end of the episode, there were previews for the rest of the week. And in one of the upcoming episodes, the doctors talk about a new creation called the "pretty pill." May I just say, what the fuck? They've got pills for everything, I swear to god. Don't want a baby? Here's your pill. Life getting you down? Here's your pill. Can't get it up? Here's your pill. Now there's a pill for unattractive people. I don't understand this at all. What has this world come to that we have to have pills for things like this? Either put some make-up on, loose some weight (if these are your problems), or learn to accept yourself for who you are. I see this as shortcut. People don't want to put forth effort, so they do it the easy way. That's why we're so ignorant, and fat, (although some people do truly struggle with weight issues, so it's not completely their fault.) Is this just another form of plastic surgery that we really don't need? Or is it completely necessary? | | |
| The way that teenagers act these days. You know, our generation has been dubbed the "Me Generation." And that's sure not anything to be proud of. I'm not proud of it, that's for sure. I just don't understand the point in teens bullying and putting down peers. I know that they do it either because they're insecure, and it makes them feel better about themselves, which is just low; or they're just selfish and don't give a shit about anyone but themselves, hence the "Me Generation" title we've been so shamefully given. I just don't understand why teenagers can't just be nice to each other. I'm not talking about playful teasing, I'm talking about the kind that really hurts, the kind that is using to purposely bring someone down. It really get's to me because usually the person being made fun of don't say anything about it, or they lash out and that's where we come up with all of these psychotic kids shooting up the school. Why in God's name would you work so damn hard to make some kid, who probably already ha enough issues as it is, feel like shit? I think every person who does that should be ashamed of themselves, even though a vast majority of them never are and never will be.
I'm a fourteen year old girl who just escaped the burning hell that our school system likes to call "junior high." And let me tell you something, I have seen and heard more things than I thought I ever would in school. It's ridiculous the amount of bullshit that falls out of the mouths of today's youth. It shames me to even be a part of it, because people stereotype, and I don't want to be part of today's youth, because frankly, we suck. Kids at fourteen and thirteen shouldn't be doing drugs or having sex, they should be having fun and enjoying what's left of their childhood before it vanishes away forever. They shouldn't care that Stacy, the popularity queen, just got the new Coach shoes and Dior bag. You should be shopping at Target and Wal-Mart. Places that other people wouldn't go because that's "not what's popular." Don't put others down just because their parents aren't ubber rich, so they can't afford a new pair of shoes for a month. Or that they don't live in a big house, which I guess makes you an instant cool kid, which it doesn't. I know plenty of people who don't live in huge houses or have designer things, and they're way cooler than those who do. But the sad thing is , people don't care about your personality anymore. They'll hang out with you just because you're: -rich -popular because you're rich -live in a mansion-like home -famous -popular because you're pretty and all the guys want to get in your pants
It's girls like these that make me wonder what the hell I, or anyone else, has done to deserve pieces of spoiled, self-centered, shit like them. But then again, they're not all this way, I have to admit. There are girls, rarely I might add, that are pretty, rich, live in a big house, and they're not spoiled, self-centered, pieces of shit. But they're not common among the average teenage girl nowadays. And they are, for some reason, almost always the ones that make fun of the other kids at their school because they're not just like them. People say that it's because they're insecure about their own selves. But how does that even make logical sense? You're gorgeous, filthy rich, and get whatever the hell you want. So why on earth would you pick on other people, so you can feel better about yourself? You should feel good enough. And if you have issues that make you that way, well I really don't give a rat's ass, because you can have issues, but your issues don't affect your actions. It's your soul responsibility to control what it is that you do. You can't use your problem's as an excuse, because there are people out there who have it worse than you do, and they don't complain or do what you do. They do whatever it takes to just get by in their life, because they have nothing, and they know that if they just give up, they won't have anything to live for.
Today's youth is the worst thing I've ever witnessed, but that may be because it's the only thing I've ever witnessed. But you have to think about it. When it all comes down to, what do you really want to gain from your life? Will bullying your peers and getting everything you want really going to help you in the path that you want to go? It doesn't matter what it was that you had when you were sixteen, or how popular you were in junior high. People aren't going to care about that, no matter how much you think they do. When you go to apply for a job, the boss isn't going to go digging around to see what you were like in junior high, or high school. They're not going to say, "Oh girl, you know she got that Prada bag the day it came out. Shoot, she must be hooked up fo reals." Hell no. Because they don't care. They want to know how you are now, and what you bring to the table. And if they find that you've been a selfish, self-centered, spoiled piece of shit most of your life, they're not going to want to hire you. And you want to know why not? They'll see that you're not really a team player, and that you've only got two things on your mind and that's you, and how you're going to get out of paying for your credit card bills.
Again.
